Where do people buy their turbos from? i know the obvious places like XMAN and darkside etc but where else though???
WHERE DO PEOPLE BUY THEIR TURBO UPGRADES FROM?
What is causing this error message?
I have a 2014 S II estate DSG 4x4 L&K.
I have a "Directional stabilization assistance control module" error in module 44 on a scan. This is a new error. I have not coded anything new, but have tried some adaptations in #44, but have also recorded every single change and reversed all the changes. I do not think I have this "Directional stabilization assistance control module" in my car. As far as I can tell this has to do with Lane Assist and this is not built into S IIs. It does not appear in the Gateway.
I have a problem with the PLA in that it switches off after I do get the correct picture displayed in the Maxidot. I can choose parallel or 90° slots and the system tells me to go into reverse but then switches off and displays that it is finished.
I assumed the problem could be with #44 but I am not sure.
I have attached a autoscan, a PDF file of the error and a screen shot.

Does springs from a Superb fit on an Octavia
Is this an original Ross-Tech?
Does this look like a copy or the real thing?

Retrofit Discover Pro on Skoda Octavia 2015 (Mk3) - No sound - VCDS
Hello guys, I've been reading this forum frequently for a while, but now I have a problem myself, and thought someone here might be able to help.
Let me start off with telling that English is not my mother tongue. I hope you will understand, anyways :-)
I'm also very new to all this VCDS, Cars, Skoda, electronics and so on.
I bought a Skoda Octavia 1,6 TDi Mk3 2015 for a couple of months ago.
Really great car, nice driving abilities and great comfort! (Can vouch for it)
My only problem was that when I bought it, it didn't have any navigation in the head-unit.
(I bought it 'dealer-used', driven 3000km - We have an crazy tax on new cars - 150% - So that's the best option for me)
So I bought an Discover Pro navi, complete with display, CD/DVD, 2xSDCards, GPS and DAB antennas.
I took the old Bolero radio out and installed the new one, it went really great.
The only little thing I had to do was to wire a cable from the headunit to the CD/DVD box because the original cable in my car didn't fit in the display. (Though the pins where the same, only the shield making the difference)
Anyways, i turned on my car and bam! Everything seemed to work; The navigation, CD, SDCards, Radio, Steering wheel controls and so one.
My only problem is that I don't have any sound.
When i try to turn on the volume control it displays the volume bar, but it won't go above "0". Like it stays to the left, volume all down.
I tried to go to the setup and saw that the "Sound" setting was greyed out.
So i started searching for why this wouldn't work, and came to the conclusion that I need to code the car with VCDS.
This unit i got (from a dealer here in DK, with warranty) is from an Octavia RS, because it displays the vRS logo on boot.
What I think is that the unit is programmed so i thinks it has an external sound system / amp, and that's why I can't hear anything from the unit.
So I needed to recode the the car and tell it that I got a new unit with navigation, and tell the Discover pro that it should use the internal amp.
As seen in the links i found some different threads that told me what to do. Some of them seems to be from the Mk2 model, but I gave it a shot.
First I connected my car to VCDS -> PC (Got a friend who is mechanic, they got the real cable and uses it all the time).
Then i turned on the ignition and tested the connection in VCDS; Success!
Then I went to 19 CAN Gateway -> Installation list.
As I understand it, this is where i tell the car which modules the car have, right?
So I ticked: 37 - Navigation and saved it. (I don't see the "xx - Radio" in the list)
I also got "Sound system", but didn't check that, as I'm using the original audio system, and not the enhanced one.
VCDS told me that the controller had accepted the coding. Great!
I restarted the Discover pro navi by holding down the power button until the display came into the booting screen.
Then I went to 19 CAN Gateway and verified that the settings where saved, and they where.
Then i went to "Electronics 1" and found 37 - Navigation and tried to click on that.
Then VCDS started to do some init, then wait a second, tried again waited 2 seconds, and one more time, before telling me "No response from controller".
I even have another friend who's also a mechanic and tried his VCDS+cable, same problem. So it does not seems to be the cable that's the problem.
And this is where I am now; Everything else works except the sound itselfs.
So my question is: How do I get access to the 37 - Navigation menu in VCDS? (And is there anything else i should enable in the 19 CAN gateway)
Info about the unit:
Device part number: 5E0035020C
Hardware: H44
Software: 0390
If you need more info just tell, I'll do my best :-) And thank you!

Octavia Mk3 VRS TSI Clutch Upgrade Options?
I am thinking of APR'ing or Revo'ing my manual MK3 VRS TSI. I understand from Mk7 GTI forums that the stock clutch will not cope for long, so wonder what options are available before I bite the bullet. Do any of the sponsors on this forum offer a Sachs or similar clutch upgrade?

Strut-brace.....
Hey all,
Not sure if it's considered a performance upgrade or not but here we go.....
.....oh, its not a Skoda either......
I have a Nissan 100NX as a weekend/summer "distraction". I have bought a pre-loved strut-brace for it. However, having previously installed one on my Fun Truck, this one has presented me with a difference. The one on the Fun was a fixed brace, the one for the 100 appears to be adjustable. Basically I know what it is supposed to do, but not read anything on adjustable ones.
Is adjustable so it would fit other members of the B13 family? (Like the Sunny) Or is it that it's adjustable for some performance/handling reason?
Thanks
Alex
Media Command (how to enable)
My Columbus in Superb III cannot use media command as it is not enabled. When I try to connect a device, App says that contact your dealer.
Does anybody know if it can be activated through VCDS or VAS?
Thanks in advance.

Assistance required for new VRS owner
I've searched the site for the info and I have found a number of options. Opinion is that a RARB fitted to a VRS would really improve its handling and is a good improvement for the money.
I have found these two and the Whiteline RARB seems to get good reviews by folk on here (http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/whiteline-anti-roll-bars-for-vw-golf-mk4-seat-leon-mk1-audi-a3-skoda-octavia.html) but I have also found this Revo version (http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/anti-roll-bars/car/skoda/octavia-vrs-hatch-13-on-5e-mqb/revo-technik-rear-anti-roll-bar).
AwesomeGTI seems to be very expensive compared to these two.
The question is, are the two good enough to improve handling on a VRS TDI? Which one is better/recommended?
Alternatively, is there somewhere else I should be looking?
TIA for any advice and help.
Cheers

Retrofitting RNS-315, 2 faults

Can someone help me to get rid of those two faults? What is actually wrong?
octy II 2007 glowplug codes
P05658
P05659
P05660
P05661
Just did a quick scan with my handheld scanner and they all came up but with no details.
If they are glowplug codes then it probably explains the intermittent hesitant starting we've been experiencing from time to time.
Also am I right in thinking glowplugs should return a resistance of about 1 ohm if good

Octavia VRS 147tfsi downpipe
I've been searching, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for...
I own a pre-facelift 2007 Octavia VRS with the 147 tfsi engine.
The car is where I want it to be in the visual, braking and suspension departments, but I'm now on the hunt for a mild performance upgrade: I have done my research and decided on the flash tune I want to purchase, but one of the requirements for the tune is to have a higher flowing cat fitted.
Having investigated my options, it would seem that a de-cat downpipe would be the way to go, but I'm having issues ascertaining my best approach to this- I have read that the VW Golf mk5 Gti aftermarket items may require modification to fit in the Octavia: is this correct?
If so, is there an off the shelf item I can purchase that is a straight fit into my car? I'd prefer not to have to mess around with it too much: my options are limited in Australia: what are your experiences/recommendations?
Cheers,
Micah.

Auto DX Radio/satnav lock out
Hi, couldn't find anything for my problem. Battery went almost dead and I couldn't start car so jump leads used. Clock had turned 00.00 and radio/satnav was asking for code, input thru RH knob choosing numbers 1 thru 9 and 0. Entered correct code and was locked out. Waited the stipulated time for next entry and again locked out. Phoned Skoda service at garage where car came from originally to check code was correct for Reg. OK. They said battery disconnection did not affect rad/satnav but as it has I should take to my local dealer. Anyone ever had this problem and have remedy without going to hours of expense at the Skoda dealership?
