I bought a knock off ELM 327 USB dongle off the Bay and finally managed to get the drivers installed, which was a bit of a faff trying to find the right one. I managed to get a trial version of TouchScan and full version of ScanMaster-ELM to work. For some reason, PCMSCAN gives an error when trying to connect.
I would appreciate a bit of guidance on how to use either of them to monitor the turbo pressure, as I have been getting some 'turbo underboost' fault codes. The Octavia MKII VRS has been less pokey for the past year, so any advice on what channels to investigate and what the parameters should be would be fantastic. (Rest assured, I've done all the usual checks: serviced last week, new filters all round, Forte additive, branded diesel only).
Additionally, would any of these software be able to tell me the soot and ash levels in my DPF? I have been getting monthly auto regenerations despite my motorway miles, so it would be good to know how long I have till I need a new DPF.
